Filip Forsberg accidentally comes up with ingenious way to force opposing team to change goaltenders during shootout
"(It was) the spotter from the collision, I guess,"
"Their call. I have nothing to do with it. If they see something they think is fishy, they call down for the safety of the players."
"They just tell you he's going to come out, and he comes out."
""I don't even know what happened," Blackwood said, per the Denver Post."
The Nashville Predators secured a 4-3 shootout victory over the Colorado Avalanche. Filip Forsberg skated into the center and attempted a forehand-backhand move during the shootout after veering wide. Scott Wedgewood made the save with his outstretched right leg, and Forsberg crashed into Wedgewood in the crease, causing the back of Wedgewood's masked head to slam into the ice. Forsberg assisted and checked on Wedgewood immediately while trainers were summoned. Wedgewood initially stayed in the game but was later removed for concussion protocol and replaced by MacKenzie Blackwood, who did not face a shot.
