Linebacker Devin Bush to Join Bears on New 3-Year Deal
"Former Browns LB Devin Bush reached agreement today on a 3-year, $30 million deal that includes $21 million guaranteed with the Chicago Bears. Bush, who turns 28 in July, is getting a three-year deal worth $30 million. Once the contract is made officially official at 3 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Bush will get $21 million worth of guarantees. That is a nice payday for the University of Michigan product."
"Bush is coming off his best year as a pro, stuffing the stat sheet with 125 total tackles (63 solo), eight passes defended, seven tackles-for-loss, four quarterback hits, and two sacks. The number that stands out is the three interceptions, which include a pair of pick-sixes. All that production helps explain how Pro Football Focus came to give him an 87.6 overall grade that ranked fourth among 88 linebackers."
"Devin Bush figures to be a true three-down linebacker. He was superb in coverage (80.4 grade was 4th among LBs) and as a run-defender (87.3 grade was 8th among LBs) last season. If that production carries over into 2026, then the Bears will have quite the signing on their hands."
Devin Bush, a 27-year-old linebacker, agreed to join the Chicago Bears on a three-year contract worth $30 million with $21 million guaranteed. Originally drafted 10th overall by Pittsburgh in 2019, Bush has played for the Steelers, Seahawks, and Browns throughout his career. In 2025, he delivered his best professional season, recording 125 total tackles, eight passes defended, seven tackles-for-loss, four quarterback hits, two sacks, and three interceptions including two pick-sixes. Pro Football Focus ranked him fourth among linebackers with an 87.6 overall grade. Bush excels as a three-down linebacker, earning high marks in coverage and run defense, making him a valuable addition to Chicago's defensive roster.
