"For sure,"
"It's something I'll be taking care of during the offseason and [I'm] working toward next season."
"Pitching at the highest league, it just allows you to learn so much more about how my stuff plays, and how to get these guys out, and the everyday aspect of being in the big leagues. There's no better place to learn."
Grant Taylor intends to return to the White Sox starting rotation and will work in the offseason toward that goal. Taylor was drafted in 2023 as a starter and possesses a powerful arm that can overpower hitters. The team moved him to the bullpen at Double-A Birmingham to fill bullpen needs and to manage his workload following Tommy John surgery. Taylor missed the 2023 season at LSU and threw just 19 1/3 innings across two levels in 2024. Major-league exposure has helped him learn how his pitches play and how to get big-league hitters out. He has rebounded with three consecutive scoreless appearances, entered Sunday with a 5.81 ERA and a 3.04 expected ERA, and benefits from precedents of the Sox stretching relievers back out to start.
