Colson Montgomery, Kyle Teel, and Edgar Quero propelled the Chicago White Sox to an 8-0 victory over the Minnesota Twins at Rate Field, securing the series. Montgomery homered for the third straight game, Teel collected three hits with two RBIs and two runs, and Quero singled twice and drove in three runs. The Sox produced three runs in the first inning and reached seven runs by the second, highlighted by five singles off Twins starter Taj Bradley. The team has scored at least seven runs in five of its last six games, demonstrating sustained offensive output.
"When those guys are playing well, we're going to have a chance to win some games," manager Will Venable said. "And they're going to be right there in the thick of it. Obviously, they're a big part of our future and (they) also give us the best chance to win on a daily basis. "Those guys, as they've continued to make their adjustments throughout the season, have done a really nice job being consistent for us."
"Having him have that kind of success here is good and I'm very happy for him and for the team, too," center fielder Luis Robert Jr. said through an interpreter.
"It was a great swing," Venable said. "Saw the power today, it was awesome. When he clicks a ball, it goes over the fence. "That's been great, he's in a good spot. Just got to keep it going."
"I felt like we created momentum early and just kept it rolling throughout the game," Teel said.
