Flight Club Applies Its Tech Magic to Shuffleboard in Downtown Chicago
Briefly

Electric Shuffle, the latest venue by the creators of Flight Club, is set to open in River North, featuring 11 high-tech shuffleboard tables equipped with camera technology and screens for scoring. This establishment aims to create a vibrant social space, accommodating up to 250 guests. Visitors can enjoy a culinary menu that includes a variety of foods and specialized cocktails. A unique brunch package is available on weekends, further enhancing the experience. This new location marks the company's fourth rollout in the U.S., continuing its expansion from the UK.
Gene Ball, president of Electric Shuffle U.S., recalls walking into a London location in January 2020, right before lockdowns were ordered en masse. River North will mark Electric Shuffle's fourth U.S.-based location, following openings in Dallas, New York, and Austin, Texas. "I remember just walking in, and there's screams and yells, but in a good way all around the place, and also just a mixed demographic, so anywhere from 22 to 60 years old," says Ball.
A retro-styled L-shaped bar seats 100 to 125. Ninety-minute shuffleboard rentals for two to 20 people will cost $20 per person, with food and beverage packages available.
The venue will house 11 shuffleboard tables, each outfitted with a video screen and 'cutting-edge camera vision technology' to track the puck and keep score on the screen.
On weekends, groups can opt for a brunch package that includes the table rental, a bottle of prosecco, and a family-style spread of brunch snacks for $50 a person.
