Chicago White Sox infielder Bryan Ramos makes his way back after a season hampered by an elbow strain
"I've been here before and everybody who plays in the big leagues likes it. So to be here again and have an opportunity, that's a pretty good feeling. I'm going to give my 100%."
"The journey he's been on with the injury, to be able to be here now and contributing at the big-league level is great for him, great for us."
"Chase is day to day," Venable said. "He wanted to play today, he'll probably do all the baseball activities and be available. Nothing serious, just (a) rolled ankle and expect him to be out there tomorrow."
Bryan Ramos returned to the Chicago White Sox on Monday after starting spring training with right elbow soreness, being placed on the injured list March 27, and being optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on April 11. Ramos had appeared in 32 major-league games last season and hit .218/.317/.391 with 14 doubles, 14 home runs, 46 RBIs, 55 runs and 13 stolen bases in 95 games with Charlotte this year. Ramos started at third base and batted ninth against the Minnesota Twins. Manager Will Venable praised Ramos’s recovery and contribution. Second baseman Chase Meidroth missed a start with a rolled right ankle and is expected to be day to day.
