Charlton Athletic's CEO Charlie Methven will depart from his role after leading the club through a successful transitional period since the takeover in July 2023. Methven's leadership has seen the club aim for a promotion playoff spot in League One after years of turmoil and fan protests under previous ownerships. Club chairman Gavin Carter praised Methven for his key contributions in enhancing operational standards and commercial success. Methven expressed his pride in serving the club and feels it is now time for him to step back as the club is on an upward trajectory.
