Jamie Gittens has joined Chelsea as their seventh signing of the transfer window, with an initial payment of £48.5m to Borussia Dortmund. Add-ons could increase the total fee to £55m. Gittens signed a seven-year contract with Chelsea. Before the transfer, Dortmund's chief executive confirmed an agreement had been reached after Chelsea failed to meet their valuation earlier. In the previous season, Gittens made 32 Bundesliga appearances, scoring eight goals. Chelsea's signings also include Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and several players with pre-agreed moves.
Gittens made 32 appearances in the Bundesliga in 2024-25, scoring eight goals, double the total he managed across his first three campaigns in Germany.
