Giga Shanghai has begun ramping up production for the fourth quarter to prepare for stronger Q4 demand. Tesla delivered 497,099 vehicles worldwide in Q3 2025, marking a new quarterly delivery record. Approximately 242,000 of those deliveries are estimated to have originated from the Shanghai factory. Giga Shanghai serves as a major export hub for China and Asia-Pacific markets, including New Zealand and Australia. The Shanghai team is expanding production and prioritizing vehicle charging so owners in China and the Asia-Pacific can receive vehicles promptly. Tesla launched a new Model Y configuration during this period.
