Tesla Giga Berlin makes big move amid strong sales and demand
"We currently have very good sales figures and have therefore revised our production plans for the third and fourth quarters upwards."
"We supply well over 30 markets and definitely see a positive trend there."
Giga Berlin manufactures Model Y vehicles for more than 30 international markets and will increase production in the third and fourth quarters. The factory opened in March 2022 and recently reached major output milestones, including its 500,000th Model Y and a 100,000th vehicle milestone. Management revised production plans upward due to encouraging sales figures in many supplied markets. Sales performance is mixed: some markets, including Germany, have shown declines while Northern European markets such as Norway reported strong year-over-year growth for the Model Y. The factory supplies regions including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East to help avoid tariffs.
