Higer unveils New V Series electric coaches for the European market - Sustainable Bus
"The Higer V Series is the outcome of a three-year development program built on full IPD (Integrated Product Development) methodology and extensive market research in Europe, Higer states. Covering vehicle lengths from 8 to 14 metres and multiple propulsion options, the platform adopts a modular approach intended to improve parts commonality and simplify maintenance. Higer reports a 58 percent reduction in parts variety and a 21.6 percent increase in luggage compartment capacity compared with the previous generation."
"At the Brussels debut, the spotlight was on the V12E Pro, a 12.4-metre luxury coach developed for long-distance applications. The vehicle is equipped with an electric drivetrain featuring independently developed battery, motor, and control systems from China's domestic supply chain. Its nominal range reaches (claimed) 500 kilometres, supported by a nitrogen-protected battery box with dedicated thermal management. Passenger amenities include adjustable aisle seats with lateral movement, premium interior materials, and integrated entertainment screens."
Higer premiered three New V Series electric coaches for Europe — V12E, V12E Pro and V13E — supported by a European aftersales network and a Luxembourg spare-parts hub. The V Series followed a three-year IPD program with European research, covering 8–14 metre lengths and multiple propulsion options on a modular platform that improves parts commonality and simplifies maintenance. The design reduces parts variety by 58% and increases luggage capacity by 21.6%. Structural features include an openable front wall, SMC composite bumpers and a central front panel for easier serviceability. The V12E Pro is a 12.4‑metre long-distance luxury electric coach with a domestically developed drivetrain and a claimed 500 km range.
