Browns LB Hicks retiring after 10-year NFL career
Briefly

Cleveland Browns linebacker Jordan Hicks announced his retirement from the NFL after 10 seasons. The 33-year-old cited gratitude for the lessons and victories during his career. While expected to lead the Browns' defense this season, Hicks' retirement leaves the team without its top two inside linebackers. He was a third-round draft pick by the Eagles in 2015, winning a Super Bowl in 2018 and later playing for the Cardinals and Vikings. Hicks recorded 952 tackles during his career and was known for his leadership and impact both on and off the field.
"Football has given me more than I could have ever imagined. Purpose, discipline, brotherhood, and a platform to impact others. But most importantly it showed me who I am outside the game."
"I leave this chapter with deep gratitude for every lesson, challenge, and victory. I'm proud of what I accomplished on the field, but even more proud of the man I've become because of it."
