City officials closed Canna Bliss, an unlicensed cannabis retailer located at 1308 Second Avenue on the Upper East Side, after receiving community complaints. The Sheriff Joint Compliance Task Force conducted an inspection on March 4 and discovered cannabis and THC products displayed for sale on the counter and in storage. Investigators seized 84.6 pounds of products, including 15 pounds of cannabis flower, 63.2 pounds of edibles, and 6.4 pounds of vape products. The shop was located approximately 498 feet from Julia Richman Education Complex and 425 feet from First Hungarian Reformed Church. The business received a cease-and-desist order, immediate closure order, and violation notice, with the storefront sealed. Officials emphasize that unlicensed cannabis products pose serious health and safety risks, particularly to underage populations.
