Long Island cops raid 26 illegal weed stores in a week, seizing 15K products: officials
Briefly

After launching operations on May 20, Suffolk County police conducted raids on 44 unlicensed smoke shops, arresting seven and permanently shutting down five. The raids seized over 15,000 illegal cannabis products and uncovered additional illegal items like fireworks and unregulated vape products. Officials stressed the dual focus on legality and public safety, highlighting the dangers of untested marijuana products. The enforcement effort will continue indefinitely as authorities aim to curb the rise of illegal marijuana sales in the region.
