A significant immigration raid by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement took place at Glass House Farms in Camarillo, California, where over 500 protesters gathered. Federal agents blocked access to the facility and ultimately discharged tear gas and rubber bullets at the demonstrators. The Ventura Fire Department responded, transporting three individuals to hospitals for medical assistance. The department stated that immigration status would not affect the care provided to the injured. Glass House Farms confirmed ICE's visit and asserted compliance with search warrants issued by the agency.
"We've set up medical receiving points at the incident so that patients can be treated and transported as needed," said Andrew Dowd from the Ventura Fire Department.
"Immigration status is never a factor in the care we provide patients," emphasized Andrew Dowd, indicating the department's commitment to assist all injured individuals.
