The V Foundation for Cancer Research raised a record $3.1 million at its 10th annual Boo-Yah gala in New York, honoring former ESPN anchor Stuart Scott. ESPN premiered "Boo-Yah: A Portrait of Stuart Scott," a "30 for 30" film chronicling Scott's life and cancer battle. Director Andre Gaines credited Scott's public courage and grace with inspiring many cancer survivors. ESPN leadership emphasized the foundation's central role and employee pride in contributing. Susan Scott highlighted the foundation's top-tier scientific advisory committee and stated that 100% of donations fund cancer research. Family members attended the dual celebration.
