I thought my thigh pain came from 'clutch leg' during driving lessons - but I actually had rare form of cancer
Briefly

Immy, a 20-year-old student, misattributed her severe leg pain to learning to drive and initially thought it was 'clutch leg'. After persistent pain, an MRI revealed a 10cm tumor, leading to a diagnosis of Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. Following aggressive treatment, including chemotherapy and surgery to replace her femur, she is now cancer-free and attending university. Her mother, Lucy, is fundraising for bone cancer research, emphasizing the emotional toll of their experience.
Nothing could have prepared us for the news that Immy had cancer. We initially put her pain down to clutch leg because she had started driving lessons.
But when it came back the next year, we knew we had to get it checked out. Getting the news was beyond devastating but thankfully Immy received treatment quickly.
