Brad Arnold, the lead singer of 3 Doors Down, announced the cancellation of the band’s summer tour following his diagnosis of Stage 4 kidney cancer, which has spread to his lungs. In a heartfelt video, he reassured fans of his faith in God, stating that he is not afraid of the battle ahead. Doctors diagnosed him with clear cell renal cell carcinoma after a recent hospitalization. The band expressed their regret over the tour cancellation, while fellow musicians and fans rallied in support through messages of love, prayers, and encouragement.
The truth is, I've been sick for a few weeks and ended up being hospitalized. It has come to my attention that I have Stage 4 kidney cancer that has spread.
Despite my diagnosis, I want my fans to know I have no fear. My faith in God gives me strength and I sincerely am not scared of it at all.
3 Doors Down deeply regrets having to cancel our summer tour. We were really looking forward to making music together this season.
The support from my fans and colleagues has been overwhelming. Having musicians like Scott Stapp, Gavin DeGraw, and others praying for me is truly humbling.
