In isolated cases, the defect may cause hot water to spill from the kettle, creating a risk of scalding injuries to the user or nearby bystanders, including small children. Zwilling reported that 43,963 units were sold in Canada between February 2020 and February 2026. Health Canada stated that the company received 21 reports of incidents and one report of a possible injury in Canada as of May 13, 2026. Consumers are instructed to stop using the affected kettles and register for a refund, and to report safety issues to Health Canada.
