'You never forget these things' - Priest visits family in hospital after Donegal crash kills girl (7) and leaves parents and infant sister seriously injured

A seven-year-old girl tragically died in a car crash in County Donegal, which also resulted in serious injuries to her parents and 18-month-old sister. The collision occurred on the R240 at Carrowmore, Glentogher, shortly before 6.30pm, involving a car and a van. The parents and sister were rushed to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry. Parish priest Fr Con McLaughlin visited the hospital and described the scene as unforgettable. Two of the injured have since been transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, while one remains in Altnagelvin.
The young girl (7) died following a crash in Co Donegal yesterday evening, which left her mother, father and infant sister (18 months old) seriously injured.
Parish priest of Carndonagh, Fr Con McLaughlin, was not at the scene of the crash but went to the hospital to meet the family.
Fr McLaughlin said the scene awaiting him in the emergency department is something he will never forget.
When I heard about the accident, I immediately went straight over to Altnagelvin Hospital and the scene there in the accident and emergency room is something I will never forget.
