England followed at 12.2 percent, with Japan, Ireland, and Switzerland completing the top five destinations. Nearly one in ten Americans reported actively researching a move abroad and nearly 60 percent said they had considered leaving the country at some point. Cost of living was the top consideration (34 percent), followed by financial security and political stability, and respondents cited high U.S. living costs, health care access, and crime as push factors. Practical advice includes researching visa requirements, saving about six months of expenses, and registering with the U.S. State Department.
