Ketsia Beboua will serve as the 2025/26 CIBC Digital Fellow for Emerging Black Journalists at The Walrus. Beboua is a writer and creator focused on storytelling across ideas, voices, and perspectives. The fellowship provides hands-on training and mentorship to conceptualize, produce, and share stories across digital platforms. The program includes personalized guidance, a collaborative environment, and educational and career-development workshops. The partnership with CIBC aims to help early-career Black journalists build foundations in contemporary journalism practices, including digital production, and to contribute to Canada's public conversation through compelling multimedia storytelling. Makda Mulatu will mentor and collaborate with Beboua.
