Speaker hopes decked halls of Queen's Park will draw more visitors | CBC News
"The legislature is a beautiful building and even more so at Christmas, Skelly said."
"When I was elected Speaker, I wanted to make sure that other people right across the province had the same opportunity to come here, and would want to come here," she said."

Queen's Park's holiday decorations have been significantly expanded this year, with new exterior lighting on hedges and tree trunks, reindeer-shaped light decorations and strings of lights lining the main entrance. Interior displays now extend beyond the grand staircase to include a large plastic-poinsettia tree, additional real poinsettias, giant chandelier light installations on the ground floor, archway lights along hallways and Christmas trees outside the chamber doors. Donna Skelly has prioritized making the legislature more open, accessible and welcoming, aiming to attract more visitors and to showcase the building's beauty during the holiday season.
