Peel police responded Friday morning to a person in crisis who had barricaded themselves near Cawthra Park in Mississauga. Officers were on the scene near Kenmuir Avenue and South Service Road and contained the incident to a single block on Kenmuir Avenue. The individual was safely apprehended and the shelter-in-place request for nearby residents was lifted. Police thanked the public for their patience and planned to clear the scene shortly so normal activity could resume.
