
"Peel police have arrested and charged a 29-year-old man after conducting search warrants that led to the seizure of over $1 million in illegal drugs and a loaded handgun. Officers from the 22 Division Community Intervention and Response Team (CIRT) seized 13 kilograms of illegal drugs, including crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, along with 1,000 rounds of ammunition, Peel police said in a news release Thursday."
"The investigation started in September after police received a tip from the community about a suspected drug trafficking operation within the Region of Peel, the release said. CIRT officers found a Toronto resident, police say, who was seen conducting multiple drug transactions across the region. The accused has been charged with multiple criminal offences, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of firearm, prohibited device or ammunition and five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, the release said."
