The 2025 Sunshine List in Ontario shows public sector employees earning over $100,000, with Kenneth Hartwick, CEO of Ontario Power Generation, at the top with a salary exceeding $1.9 million. The top five positions are held by employees from the electricity Crown corporation, all earning over $1 million. Kevin Smith, CEO of University Health Network, ranks sixth with a salary of $939,603. Treasury Board President Caroline Mulroney noted that retroactive payments and collective bargaining influenced salary increases, with municipalities driving over 50% of this year's growth.
