"The Doug Ford government has asked the Ontario Provincial Police to investigate the findings of an audit of a company that received grants from the province's Skills Development Fund. A routine audit of an "external service provider" raised concerns two years ago, the premier's office said in a statement on Wednesday. That audit identified "irregularities," which in turn prompted a "comprehensive forensic audit" of the company, the premier's office said."

A routine audit of an external service provider raised concerns two years ago, prompting a comprehensive forensic audit that found issues and recommended referral to the Ontario Provincial Police. The provincial government received the forensic audit results last week and referred the matter to the OPP within 24 hours. Keel Digital Solutions confirmed it was subject to the forensic audit and acknowledged receiving funding from the Skills Development Fund. Ontario's auditor general previously found the fund's grant selection process was not fair, transparent or accountable. All payments associated with the provider are under review and further actions will follow.
