""Bo has a lot of the attributes we're looking for," Armstrong says."
""We want to be able to play inside - get to the net. He's a player that played left wing with MacKinnon at the World Championships last year. Can play multiple positions for us. I think right now, of the players selected for us, he's the highest-rated face-off guy, so he adds that element to the selection process. Just an all-around good 200-foot player. Can touch both ends of the special teams if needed and has a multi-positional aspect to him that made him a very appealing player for us.""
Hockey Canada named Team Canada's full roster for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, including Bo Horvat among 14 forwards. Horvat is the lone New York Islanders player selected and was not part of the 4 Nations Face-Off. Horvat has produced 21 goals and 12 assists through 35 games, marking the best start of his career and making him a candidate for team MVP. Doug Armstrong praised Horvat's multi-positional ability, face-off skill, net-driving inside play, 200-foot two-way game, and capacity to contribute on both ends of the special teams.
