Man dies in Tipperary after getting into difficulty in river

GardaĆ­ were alerted to an incident where a male encountered difficulty in the water in Carrick-on-Suir on Tuesday, July 1, at around 8.30pm.
It's understood there was a major search operation involving the rescue 117 helicopter. Investigations are ongoing.
