A man from Lindsay, Ont. is facing charges after an intruder suffered life-threatening injuries during an altercation inside the resident's apartment. Kawartha Lakes Police responded to the call early Monday morning. The resident confronted the intruder, resulting in serious injuries that required the intruder to be airlifted to a Toronto hospital. The resident faces charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. The 41-year-old intruder is also facing charges, including breaking and entering and possession of a weapon, and was already wanted for unrelated offences.
