I Found Out the Truth of the "Most Haunted House in Canada" | The Walrus
"A little boy sitting on the fence swinging his legs. I saw him out of the corner of my eye, but when I turned, he wasn't there."
"I also saw a man in Victorian clothes once, looking at me from the archives. He was gone when I turned on the lights."
"As I moved from room to room, I was filled with the sense that someone was watching me. I pulled the last shutter closed and stood under the single remaining lit bulb."
"If you're there, leave me alone, please. The frightened feeling flowed away in a rush, like water going down a drain."
The Todmorden Mills Heritage Museum, located in a nature preserve in Toronto, is said to be haunted. New staff members share experiences of seeing a ghostly boy and a man in Victorian clothing. One staff member recounts feeling watched while closing up the museum at night. Despite the eerie atmosphere, the staff continue to work there, sharing ghost stories and advice about the spirits that may inhabit the space.
