Lucas Bauer, 25, from Hamilton, was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death against Ontario Premier Doug Ford under the Criminal Code. The Ontario Provincial Police's protective services section launched an investigation into the threat on Sunday, resulting in Bauer's arrest. Inspector Anton Jelich emphasized that threats are criminal and will not be tolerated, stating the OPP takes every incident seriously regardless of who is affected. Police declined to disclose details about the threat's nature to protect investigation integrity. Bauer was released from custody and scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto on April 13. This arrest follows another threat-related charge against a 20-year-old from Alliston within the same week.
