A major drug haul involving about 500 kilos of cocaine was seized in West Cork, with an estimated street value of €31 million. Two men, in their 30s and 40s, were arrested as the 'landing crew' collecting the shipment. A Joint Task Force, including gardaí, Defence Forces, and Revenue, conducted the operation, which featured maritime surveillance and patrolling. The suspect vessel was intercepted by the LE William Butler Yeats after aerial observation from Irish Air Corps aircraft, and both arrested men were taken to a Garda Station in Co Cork.
