A road stretch on the Burlington–Oakville border will be closed from May 22 to June 1 to raise train tracks above street level. Burloak Drive will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians between Harvester Road and Prince William Drive starting at midnight Thursday. On the Oakville side, the closure runs between Wyecroft Road and Superior Court because road names change at the municipal boundary. The intersection of Burloak Drive and Prince William Drive/Superior Court will remain open. Access to 700–728 Burloak Dr. will be maintained from Prince William Drive. The full closure is required to install grade-crossing infrastructure, relocate and pave the railway crossing on the detour road, and install storm sewers. Transit diversions will include weekend GO train and bus routing changes.
"On Saturday and Sunday, then again next weekend, GO trains will run between Niagara Falls and Aldershot stations, with buses making stops at West Harbour, Aldershot, Burlington, Oakville and Clarkson GO stations before stopping at Bramalea station. From there, riders can take the Kitchener train to Union station. The GO website says there will be additional trains on that line."
