Andre De Grasse opened his season at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix, winning the men's 200 metres in 19.84 seconds. This performance was his fastest since 2023. He finished second in the 100 metres with a time of 9.95 seconds, his best since the Tokyo Olympics. Aaron Brown placed second in the 200 metres, while Jerome Blake set a personal best in the 100 metres. In the women's 100, Audrey Leduc finished third behind two American sprinters.
