"The Blue Jays have gracefully lent their home run horn, the sound that goes off whenever a Blue Jays player hits a home run at Rogers Centre, to the Canadian hockey squad to use after the goals that they score during the World Juniors. That horn is followed by an excerpt playing of "Courage" by the Tragically Hip, according to Mark Masters of TSN."
"During the 2025 regular season, Blue Jays fans heard the sound of the horn 104 times as Toronto ranked tied for 8th overall in the entire league in home runs hit at home. Some of the round-trippers had come in pivotal moments of the game, with the most notable one being Addison Barger going back-to-back with Bo Bichette to walk off the Arizona Diamondbacks in the bottom of the ninth inning back in mid-June."
"As for during the MLB Playoffs, Blue Jays fans were treated to the horn blast another 16 times at Rogers Centre to lead all playoff contenders in home round-trippers. But of course, the one that everyone will no doubt remember the most for now and forever is the George Springer come-from-behind three-run shot to push Toronto past the Seattle Mariners in Game 7 of the ALCS to make it to the World Series."
The Toronto Blue Jays surged in 2025, rising from worst to first in the AL East and reaching the World Series for the first time in 32 years. The club lent its Rogers Centre home run horn to Canada's World Junior hockey team for use after goals at the World Juniors, with the horn followed by an excerpt of 'Courage' by the Tragically Hip. The horn sounded 104 times at home during the regular season, plus 54 bonus times after home wins and 16 playoff blasts. Memorable moments included Addison Barger's back-to-back walk-off with Bo Bichette and George Springer's Game 7, three-run ALCS homer. Canada arrives after consecutive fifth-place finishes and hopes the horn will help spark a gold-medal push.
