Seven people face charges related to suspected irregularities in Ontario G-class driver examinations in the GTA. Allegations include bribes offered in exchange for favourable consideration of specific applicants during testing. The accused, aged 43 to 65, are charged with offences such as secret commissions, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, breach of trust, and money laundering. The charges total 25 Criminal Code offences. The investigation began in September 2024 through a Serious Fraud Office initiative involving the OPP and the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. The accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. Three are from Toronto, two from Brampton, one from Maple, and one from Mississauga.
