14 flights to and from Dublin Airport cancelled Friday due to French air traffic control strikes
Briefly

Air traffic control strikes in France have led to the cancellation of multiple flights, affecting not only routes directly to France but also overflights to the UK, Greece, and Spain. Dublin Airport reported 14 cancellations on Friday and 20 on Thursday, with Shannon Airport also experiencing cancellations and delays. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for updates. Airlines are required to offer re-routing or refunds under EU Regulation 261/2014. The strikes stem from issues related to understaffing and equipment.
In addition to flights to/from France being cancelled, this strike will also affect all French overflights. Most disrupted passengers are not even flying to/from France, but over French airspace to destinations like the UK, Greece and Spain.
Further disruption to flight schedules is possible today due to another day of air traffic control strikes in France and a ground staff strike in Finland.
Passengers due to fly to or over mainland Europe today are advised to check directly with their airline for the latest updates on the status of their flight.
Under EU Regulation 261/2014, affected passengers should be offered the choice between a re-routing or a full refund.
