Wrong-way vehicle collision in Fairfield kills three

"In the first collision, a white Dodge Charger with two adult men collided with a black Land Rover Discovery driven by an adult woman, authorities said. All three people involved in the collision sustained fatal injuries. Witnesses told investigators that the light colored sedan had been traveling in the wrong direction, but police have not yet confirmed which vehicle was the wrong-way driver."

The Toyota driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The Tesla driver was uninjured. Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. The westbound lanes of Highway 80 were closed beginning around 2:22 a.m. while investigators worked, authorities said."
