Bay Area News Group runs a weekly girls Athlete of the Week poll covering performances from Nov. 24-29. Poll rules ban bots and artificial voting methods; suspicious activity can disqualify candidates and permanently suspend the poll. Polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday; votes by email and votes submitted after the deadline are not counted. Winners are announced each Friday online and in the print sports sections. Nominations for future polls are accepted via highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com until 11 a.m. Monday. MaxPreps statistics submitted by coaches and team statisticians are reviewed. Nominees include Elia Anne Kudemus (27 points), Aastha Bhagat (17), Amaya Bharadwaj (third, CIF Division II, 16:52.7), and Bella Fong (20).
