VIDEO: Violent SoCal jewelry store heist leads to crashes, arrests after botched getaway
Briefly

""I said, 'I have a gun, get out. I have a gun.' They saw my gun on the counter. They grabbed it," Tabello said."
""This is not their first time doing it," Anaheim police Sgt. Eric Anderson said. "By the looks of the video I've seen, this is someone who had a plan. They attempted that plan, but the outstanding police work from the Anaheim Police Department was definitely not going to let that plan go through.""
""It was the scariest moment of my life," he said. "It was chaos. I thought I was going to get shot or hit by a hammer.""
A smash-and-grab robbery occurred at Classic Jewelers in Anaheim Hills when thieves crashed an SUV through the front door, smashed display cases, and stole custom jewels and a gun. About eight suspects wearing ski masks and hoodies used hammers and crowbars during the raid. Anaheim police located and pursued the suspects; one getaway car caused a multi-vehicle crash in Fullerton, scattering diamonds and injuring several drivers, and four suspects were arrested. A second getaway car later crashed and SWAT tracked down three of its occupants. Detectives noted the methods and disguises indicate prior similar offenses, and the owner was relieved no customers were present.
