Two incidents of identity theft reported in Saratoga

"Dec. 9 Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information to open credit accounts for an unknown total loss. Dec. 11 Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone contacted them by phone providing some of her personal information and got the victim to provide banking and passport information. No monetary loss was reported. Theft by credit card: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their credit card information to make a fraudulent purchase totaling approximately $4,972."

Dec. 13 Battery: At 8:45 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 13000 block of Shadow Oaks Way, where the victim alleged the suspect pushed her, causing her to fall down and hit her elbow. The suspect is known, and the case is being submitted to the District Attorney's Office for review."
