Some CSU campuses offering direct admission to eligible high school seniors

California's high school students are experiencing less stress during college admissions thanks to a new Direct Admission Pilot Program by the California State University system. This initiative, launched in partnership with the Riverside County Office of Education, aims to provide conditional acceptance to eligible students at ten campuses. CSU spokesperson Hazel Kelly emphasized the program's goal of fostering accessibility and reducing uncertainty regarding college applications. With approximately 17,000 students granted admission for fall 2025, the initiative has increased the number of applicants from Riverside County by 3,000 compared to last year, highlighting its success.
