A 3.2-magnitude earthquake shook the East Bay at 10:03 a.m. on Sunday. The epicenter was located about three miles north of Pleasanton, identified by the U.S. Geological Survey. Residents reported feeling light, brief shaking across San Ramon, Castro Valley, Livermore, Hayward and Fremont. The shaking was generally light and produced no immediate reports of damage. Earthquakes around magnitude 3.0 are considered minor, commonly felt but causing little to no damage. The event occurred on September 7, 2025, and was observed by residents and local agencies in the immediate aftermath.
