"SAN BENITO, COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- Several earthquakes struck south of the Bay Area in central California on Thanksgiving. The strongest quake was a magnitude 4.0, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquakes happened near San Juan Bautista in San Benito County, which is south of San Jose, near Salinas. A minor 2.7 earthquake hit at 12:10 p.m., followed by a 3.9 at 12:48 p.m., and a 4.0 at 12:57 p.m."
