The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office reported a decline in use of force incidents, with 603 occurrences in 2025, down from 621 in 2024. The report indicates one fatality in 2025, contrasting with zero in the previous year. Most incidents occurred in jails, with a notable use of chemical agents.
