Gordon Chester has lived in District 9 for 39 years and reports observing stagnation or backsliding in road safety, public services, and housing affordability. Chester has filed to run in the June primary for the District 9 City Council seat that will be open when Vice Mayor Pam Foley terms out in 2026. The candidate emphasizes livability issues and broad-based economic growth. Chester has worked more than a decade for the city in the Department of Public Works regulating telecom companies. Chester lives with his wife and 7-year-old daughter in his childhood home.
