There were no occupants in the building and no reported injuries. Foss Avenue was closed to vehicles while crews worked, and traffic lights out on Alum Rock Avenue between Highway 680 and Sunset Avenue significantly impacted traffic. Firefighters began leaving the scene and authorities prepared to reopen roads around 7:30 a.m.
