"A caller said that their daughter and her friend were riding bikes when someone in a black sedan started following them. The children tried to lose the car by riding onto a side street, but the car followed them there as well. The black sedan was occupied by a male driver and a passenger. Police were unable to locate the car."
"PETTY THEFT: 4:46 p.m. at La Rinconada Country Club on Clearview Drive. A wallet was stolen from a white 2019 Acura RDX. There were no signs of forced entry, although the caller said he had locked his car. The stolen silver wallet contained three credit cards, an ATM card, a driver's license, AAA card and $100 cash along with insurance cards. The credit cards were used around 1:05 p.m. at Oakridge Mall."
"Jan. 18 PETTY THEFT: 9:38 p.m. at Safeway on North Santa Cruz Avenue. Two groups of two juveniles came in and stole bottles of alcohol. The caller identified two male juveniles around 16 years old, one wearing a gray hoodie and light camouflage-patterned pants and the other wearing a black hoodie. The caller was looking for video footage of the theft and possible associated vehicle. The caller requested contact and said the store would prosecute the suspects if they are found."
An attempted burglary occurred at 3:06 p.m. on Hamsher Court when a suspect tried and failed to open a caller's garage door; no damage was observed. At 5:46 p.m. on Ferris Avenue a black sedan followed two children on bikes; the vehicle contained a male driver and a passenger and could not be located by police. On Jan. 17 a white Tesla Model X was stolen from Bay Club Courtside on Winchester Boulevard with the keys inside. Also on Jan. 17 a wallet was stolen from a locked white 2019 Acura RDX at La Rinconada Country Club and the stolen cards were used at Oakridge Mall. On Jan. 18 two pairs of juveniles stole alcohol from Safeway; suspects were described and the store seeks video and will prosecute if found.
