Novato police looking for hit-and-run driver who struck, injured 8-year-old riding bike

"The Novato Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a driver who hit an 8-year-old child riding a bike and then left the scene."

An 8-year-old child riding a bike was struck by a driver in Novato at the intersection of Vineyard Road and Sutro Avenue. The incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. The driver, an older woman in a newer black Mercedes sedan, briefly stopped to check on the child before leaving the scene. The child sustained minor injuries. A passerby assisted the child and called 9-1-1. The Novato Police Department is seeking information from the public regarding the incident.
